Hype is the leading crypto marketing agency with 120+ employees across 30+ countries worldwide. We have big plans for 2023 and are hiring aggressively in order to service our growing book of clients. As part of this effort, we’re looking for an experienced Client Services Lead to manage workflows and drive success for all our clients. 


This role will involve working with multiple clients on a day-to-day basis. Client Service Leads are responsible for managing the delivery of marketing strategies, reporting on their effectiveness, and continually iterating and testing new ideas. You will be responsible for ensuring all services are delivered to the high standards our clients expect.


This role is a mid-level position for someone with 1-2 years of experience in crypto/tech and at least 3+ years working across agency services or related fields. The right candidate will be comfortable speaking to clients about marketing strategy and will have a good understanding of technology marketing. The candidate will have experience working within a team yet be a self-starter.

Job requirements

Key Responsibilities:

Ensure solid retention of key clients through effective client management:

  • Being the primary point of contact for clients and the voice for them internally to ensure they are receiving maximum value from their partnership with Hype

  • Coordinating with department heads and project leads to ensure all client workstreams are completed on time and to the highest possible standards

  • Keeping clients up to date on all work streams through effective communication over email, slack, telegram/discord; and by maintaining a cadence of weekly status calls, monthly wrap ups and quarterly plans/reviews

  • Establishing a nimble way of working with your different clients to ensure we deliver best-in-class service regardless of the size, location or style of client

  • Demonstrating value by building, elevating and leveraging your client relationships to ensure Hype and our clients are positioned for long-term success


Identify, qualify and create new opportunities by:

  • Staying up to date on market trends and understanding the needs of our clients as they move through their different phases of growth: from pre-launch to start-up to scale-up.

  • Capitalizing on opportunities for growth by proactively planning campaigns with Hype’s dept heads so we can lead clients through uncertainty and opportunity and influence their marketing initiatives

  • Driving and managing the upsell process by working with the Client Services and Strategy Director to qualify new client opportunities, develop proposals, and expand our scope of work with new or existing services

  • Maintaining a high level of productivity, managing multiple competing priorities and time zones, and working effectively under the pressure of time constraints in a fast-paced, complex, collaborative, and team-oriented environment.

  • Engaging and participating in industry events and actively seeking out client and industry networking opportunities

  • Identifying opportunities for Hype to grow. We are a fast-growing business in a fast-growing industry; defining the marketing playbook for crypto projects around the world. Qualifications, skills, and experience

  • 3-5 years experience retaining and expanding client accounts through value-based solutions

  • Demonstrable evidence of track record of client services success in the digital, marketing, consulting, or other professional services environment: exceeding targets; reduced churn, recognition amongst peers, awards

  • Track record of building relationships with senior line-of-business and digital marketing, executives and management within an entrepreneurial, well-funded start-up or scale-up environment.

  • Understanding and ability to evidence the use of data and insight as a lever and differentiator in sales opportunities.

  • Passion for working with emerging technologies and a desire to deeply understand and demonstrate Hype’s skills and functionality, use cases, as well as business and technical elements

  • Excellent communication (written and verbal), interpersonal, and presentation skills

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, high growth company where change is a constant

  • Highly driven individual with an exemplary work ethic

  • Able to function independently, as well as collaboratively with Hype team members

  • Passionate about developing and delivering exceptional outcomes and results for clients

  • Desirable but not essential – knowledge or experience of working within the blockchain, NFT, Crypto, or DeFi space. This includes memes.

  • A strong desire to quickly understand and grow high-level knowledge of our industry
